The Alzheimer Society of Ireland

is the leading dementia specific service provider in Ireland. It is a national voluntary organisation with an extensive network of branches, regional offices and services that aims to provide people with all forms of dementia, their families and carers with the necessary support to maximise their quality of life.

The Alzheimer Café Donnybrook

The Alzheimer Cafe in Donnybrook, which is one of a number of Alzheimer Cafés in Ireland, is a safe and relaxed place where people with dementia, their families and friends, and health and social care professionals come together for a unique blend of education and support. It is a forum where people can share experiences and talk about dementia. The Alzheimer Café Donnybrook meets on the second Thursday of every month, from 7pm – 9pm, in the Avila Centre, Donnybrook. Entry is free of charge. There is no need to book in advance.

Blackrock Walking Group

Siel Bleu organises gentle walks in Blackrock Park for people of all ages and abilities. The group meets on a Friday at at 12:30 at St. Andrew’s Parish Hall on Mount Merrion Avenue.

Exercises are included to build strength, flexibility, balance and endurance.
